Attorney Rachel Drude-Tomori is the Founding Partner of Drude Tomori Law, PA, a St. Petersburg law firm dedicated to providing estate planning legal services to individuals and families in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas. Rachel’s primary areas of focus include Estate Planning and Deferred Sales Trusts, and she frequently assists individuals and business owners in protecting their legacies from government and creditor interference. With over 15 years of legal experience, Rachel has developed estate plans for business owners, corporate executives, wealthy individuals, and professionals and their families with a wide range of estate planning objectives. She also develops estate plans for families of more modest means who nevertheless recognize the importance of avoiding probate and securing financial stability for their loved ones. Additionally, she frequently assists clients facing complicated questions about how to meet the health care and financial needs of their elderly loved ones. Rachel represents clients in St. Petersburg, the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and throughout Florida.

Advanced Legal Education in Florida Estate Planning

In 2005, Rachel graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University New Orleans, winning the Award for Excellence in Writing. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) law degree with Honors, as well as an advanced Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Estate Planning, from the University of Miami School of Law. She is qualified to practice law before all Florida State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. 

Service to the Legal Profession

Rachel is active in the St. Petersburg legal community and has served in many leadership capacities with the St. Petersburg Bar Association, including serving on the Executive Committee; the Diversity, Inclusion & Equality Committee; and the Paraclete Editorial Committee, in addition to chairing the Bar’s Probate & Guardianship Section. At the state and national levels, she is a member of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section and the American Bar Association.

Recognized for her legal contributions, Rachel is the recipient of several awards from groups such as the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the National Alliance of Women in Law, and the American Institute of Legal Advocates. Since 2017, Rachel has been recognized by her peers and Super Lawyers in the top 5% of Estate Planning Attorneys in Florida. She frequently authors and speaks on estate planning topics for professional groups and publications.

Service to the Community

Rachel’s service to the community is almost too numerous to mention, generously giving her time, legal knowledge, and skills to many worthy causes. She has served on the Board of Directors and provided pro bono legal services to Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay, where she provided support to and advocated on behalf of victims of domestic violence. She served on the Board of Directors for Jump for Kids, Inc., an organization that provides school-age children with personal training, mentorship, and education in exercise in nutrition through the St. Petersburg school system.

Rachel has been a member of the Planned Giving Committee at St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation, where she collaborated on events and campaigns to educate potential donors and their professional advisors regarding how to support St. Anthony’s Hospital through estate planning, charitable giving and philanthropy. Through the St. Petersburg Community Law Program, she has provided pro bono legal services and access to justice to indigent clients dealing with landlord/tenant, probate, and foreclosure issues. She has also been a volunteer member and committee member with Infinity, the League to Aid Abused Children & Adults, and has held various offices, including President, of St. Petersburg Toastmasters Club 2284. Rachel has also been active with the PACE Center for Girls and the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.

Rachel has been recognized numerous times for her community service, including with the following awards:

  • 2004 Recipient of American Lung Association Volunteer of the Week Award
  • 2006 Recipient of the Lupus Foundation of America’s National Volunteer of the Year
  • 2009, 2010 Sweetheart Award Recipient for Infinity
